The Wave Gauge Array is a capacitance based wave height measurement system that outputs a linear
response in correlation to the submerged depth of the sense wires. Twenty independent signal channels can be accurately
monitored to provide comprehensive analysis of water surface geometry with minimal cross-talk between adjacent wires even
when distributed in a dense test array.
Sense wires are shipped in one meter lengths, providing high resolution and system flexibility
when employed in a variety of environments. Other lengths are available upon request, as are replacements. Please contact us for more information on use and care of this hardware.
Wave Gauge Array signal conditioning unit consists of a rugged enclosure with inputs for
attaching the sensor wires and outputs for routing to the data acquisition and storage system. Water depths ranging
from 2 centimeters to 1.0 meter (or longer) relative to the bottom of the element can be measured accurately and repeatably
with the system.
